I don't know why, but I often forget how much I really have. I think everyone does this at some point in their lives, but I'm sure I do it more than enough. I guess I just want to say thank you to all of you, friends, family, even that guy who stopped his car so I could cross the street yesterday. I don't think anyone really knows how much they have, because the more I look, the more I find. I know I don't deserve all that I have or many of my friends, and being here has made me see how blessed I really am.
I have the best friends in the whole world. They're always there for me, even when I just want to complain or ask stupid questions. I love my family, even though I may not act like it all the time. I love being with them, especially now that we're all grown up and not teenagers and elementary kids.
So thank you all, it's nice to be able to step back and count those blessings, because there are many. I don't know what kind of a person I'd be today without all of you.

Well put, Scottie. More of us need to realize this.
ReplyDeleteThis is what my dad said at my grandmother's funeral, and I think it is really awesome advice to live by:
"Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can."
